Cake:
1 cup oatmeal
1 1/4 cups boiling water
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/3 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
Combine Oats and water, set aside to cool. Cream sugars and shortening. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon into creamed mixture. Blend in oat mixture. Pour into greased 9x12 pan or bundt pan. Bake at 350 for 40 to 45 minutes.
