2 cups All-Bran cereal
1 bag chopped dates
2 cups water, boiling
1 cup butter, melted
1/3 cup molasses
3 cups sugar
1 qt buttermilk
4 eggs, beaten
4 cups bran flakes
5 cups flour
5 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
Preheat oven to 400 or 420. In a large mixing bowl add the cereal, dates, and boiling water. Let sit for 10 minutes. Add melted butter, molasses, sugar, buttermilk, and eggs and mix. Combine with flour, soda, and salt.
Grease muffin tin and fill 3/4 full. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Batter will last eight weeks in the fridge.
