1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup white sugar
3 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Cream egg, vanilla, butter, sour cream, and sugar. Then add flour, baking soda, and salt. (Note: Dough will probably be sticky. Add more flour as needed.) Once all blended, roll out on floured surface about 1 inch thick and cut with cookie cutter. Place on a baking sheet and bake at 350 for 10 min. DO NOT BROWN! Put on wax paper to cool.
Frosting Ingredients:
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/8 cup milk
1 tsp almond extract
1 tsp coconut extract
Mix all together until light and fluffy.
I had a home teacher bring these cookies to us once. We were blown away by that and begged for the recipe. We liked them so much we made these to announce to our family when we found out we were having our first baby.
