1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup white sugar
1 cup peanut butter
4-6 cups Rice Krispies
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
Heat corn syrup and sugar on the stovetop until sugar dissolves, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter until melted. Pour hot mixture over Rice Krispies and mix well. Pour into a greased 9x13 inch pan and press down with a spatula. Pour chocolate and butterscotch chips over the treats, let the heat melt the chips, or put in the oven on broil for just a minute to melt. Once they are melted spread out with a knife or spatula. Let chill before cutting and serving.
Sometimes we will replace the Rice Krispies with Special K cereal it changes the texture slightly.
